If you’re towing a lot more than a boat around, like a big family, the Lincoln Navigator is a great choice. Its comfort offerings are practically unmatched, as well as its power. Sometimes you need maximum seating capacity, and the Lincoln Navigator boasts all that and more while carrying its own weight in the towing department. You can tow up to 9,000 pounds even with a full cab. Meaning, you could stuff the Lincoln Navigator full of people and still have enough towing power for a boat and a couple of jet-skis.

When you first glance at the Lincoln Navigator, it’s obvious that the main competitor is the Cadillac Escalade. The two vehicles are strikingly similar yet perks of the Navigator include its handling of the road much more eloquently. Sure, the Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class and Land Rover/Range Rover are more luxurious than the Navigator, however, the Navigator beats both in available cargo space and miles-ahead towing capacity.

2017 Lincoln Navigator Review

The Navigator has been lauded for its quiet and smooth highway driving. The turbocharged V6 provides power enough for quick acceleration as well as fantastic towing capacity even during steep inclines.

There are four available trim models within the Lincoln Navigator family: the base-model Navigator, Navigator L, Navigator Select, and Navigator Reserve. The base-model Navigator and Navigator L offer more cargo space. The Navigator Select comes with 10-way heated and ventilated front seats, power-folding third row, heated second-row seats, leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, remote start, power liftgate, rear parking sensors, rearview camera, THX surround sound audio system, Sync 3 infotainment system, 8.0-inch touchscreen, 20-inch alloy wheels, HID headlights, navigation, and keyless entry/start. The Navigator Reserve includes all of the above features with the addition of higher quality leather upholstery, 22-inch alloy wheels, and power-retracting running boards.

There aren’t many other vehicles that can offer this unique combination of luxury and performance. The price tag is in-line with luxury SUVs with the base model offered at roughly $36,000. You get a lot of car for the money if you choose to spend it, and you’ll own one of the best luxury SUVs available.
